As Pakistan reels from catastrophic flooding that has displaced thousands and destroyed livelihoods, smartphone manufacturer TECNO has teamed up with the Alkhidmat Foundation to deliver urgent relief to affected communities.
The disaster, triggered by relentless rains, has claimed lives, left hundreds injured, and forced families to survive without food, shelter, or basic necessities. In response, TECNO and Alkhidmat distributed emergency aid packages—including food and daily essentials—to 300 families. Each package is designed to sustain a household for about a month, offering much-needed stability as recovery efforts continue.
Corporate Responsibility Beyond Technology
While TECNO is best known for its mobile technology, this initiative highlights the company’s growing commitment to humanitarian support in Pakistan. Speaking about the relief effort, TECNO CEO Mr. Bruce said:
“For us, being part of Pakistan means standing with our people when they need it most. We’re humbled to assist families affected by these devastating floods. This is only the beginning, and we intend to keep supporting recovery efforts.”
A Step Toward Long-Term Community Support
This collaboration is part of TECNO’s broader strategy to strengthen its bond with the local community, reflecting a shift in how global tech brands engage with social causes. Alkhidmat Foundation, one of Pakistan’s largest nonprofit organizations, has been at the forefront of disaster response efforts, coordinating food distribution, shelter, and medical aid.
With large parts of the country still underwater, initiatives like this one demonstrate the importance of corporate involvement in disaster recovery. Beyond short-term relief, TECNO’s move underscores a message of resilience and solidarity, reminding Pakistanis that recovery is a collective effort.
