In Mithi, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) senior leader Rashid Mahmood Soomro stressed the need to create a fresh alliance as an alternative to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). He emphasized that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was not formed for electoral purposes. Soomro also anticipated that the upcoming elections in the country would be held in January or February.
Soomro suggested the possibility of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) joining this alliance and promised to provide alternative leadership for Sindh.
The JUI-F leadership has invited MQM-P convenor Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui to attend their upcoming public gathering on November 2 in Karachi. Moreover, the JUI-F and MQM-P are poised to explore the potential of an electoral alliance, as they have agreed to meet and discuss the matter further.
