Liverpool will be aiming to get first league win at the Britannia Stadium when they will meet Stoke City on Sunday.
Premier League fans have been expecting a nail-biting contest between both sides as Mark Hughes’ men, who picked up just single triumph and two draws on the road, will definitely try to collect all three points at the Britannia Stadium. On the other hand, Brendan Rodgers’ side also have an impressive record at home with just one home defeat in 10 Premier League games, they will do everything to continue their good run.
The two teams last time met each other in the season opener at Anfield on August 17 2013 when Daniel Sturridge first-half goal was proved the Winner for Liverpool.
In last League fixtures on New Year’s Day, Liverpool posted a comfortable win over Hull City at Anfield thanks to strikes from Daniel Agger and Luis Suarez, while Stoke City played a 1-1 draw with Everton as Oussama Assaidi effort was cancelled out by Leighton Baines in the dying moments of game.
For the coming Premier League clash, Liverpool could welcome back Daniel Sturridge, who recently returned to training after being out of action for about two-months with an ankle injury.
Mamadou Sakho is also expected to find a place in starting lineup after recovering the hamstring injury. However, Daniel Agger (calf), Jon Flanagan (hamstring) and Jose Enrique (knee) are still sidelined.
For Stoke, Robert Huth (knee), Andy Wilkinson (foot) and Asmir Begovic (broken finger) will remain sidelined.
