SMEDA Launches Pre-feasibility Studies for Youth Loan Scheme


ISLAMABAD: Federal government assigned advisory role to Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDA) in implementation of recently launched Prime Minister’s Youth Business.

Specific task assigned to SMEDA was to prepare reference pre-feasibility studies for borrowers and financial institutions.

Living up to the trust and confidence posed by government on SMEDA, agency has developed pre-feasibility studies in eight (8) sectors. These prefeasibility studies are structured like a business plan and provides very useful insights into of the proposed business. Apart from providing feasibility studies SMEDA will also provide a template for business plan preparation both in English and Urdu and requisite guidelines for the loan applicants.



  1. Prime minister loan scheme for youth is very admireable & will help youth to self employment. It looks and hope that it will not bel like Banazeer income support for only JIALLAS. Main problem faced by the y
    is to get guarantor of grade 15 with their bank statement /payslip and post dated chieque I may suggest that the guarrantee be allowed of any civilian persons .

  2. how can poor people get load coz they have no bale for the kind of loan so how can they alive. This scheme give benifit only to richer and those who already doing business . By that loan they can boost up their business as they already doing. So if it is only the base of small newly business so why conditionally its being given . Government should check the shop and give them loan and take monthly installment. As 8% . So its is my request to prminister sahib kindly review the bale system. im needy person and want to open beauty parlor for my wife so we can survive and give good education to our children.
