Jason Case, Amy Diaz Clinch Amazing Race Season 23 Crown

United States: It were moments of happiness and joy for dating couple Jason Case, 33, and Amy Diaz, 29, when they were announced as winners of 23rd season of CBS’ reality contest “The Amazing Race”. Winners are entitled for hefty $1 million. As host Phil Keoghan revealed, Jason-Amy couple finished second six times throughout the season and finally occupied the top slot when it mattered the most.

They had to clinch the crown of “Amazing Race Season 23 winners” from past love Tim Sweeney, 32, and Marie “Reebs” Mazzocchi, 29, and connubial ER doctors Travis Jasper, 43, and Nicole Jasper, 39.

The ultimate leg witnessed the teams trekking to Alaska, only to pass through challenges like shamming a supply drop from a small aircraft, picking through ice to find a clue and kayaking. The final task appeared to be very interesting as they were to build a wall of totem poles using the first letter of the currency from all the countries they’d visited.

Fourth-place finishers (and cousins) Leo Temory, 26, and Jamal Zadran, 26, were removed in the first half of the 120 minute finale.

It is worth to recap that a total of eleven teams started off in season 23 of the amazing race for the $1 million prize. Race took the contestants to four continents, nine countries covering more than 35,000 miles.

Amazing Race Season 23 contestants had to paraglide over Iquique, Chile, plunge into freezing waters in Norway and participate in Formula One Racing in Abu Dhabi.
