The National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution against the persistent violation of ceasefire at Line of Control (LoC) from Indian troops.
The resolution, presented by Minister of Science and Technology Zahid Hamid in the national assembly session held under Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, strongly denounced the Indian aggression at LoC and demanded the neighboring country to make sure the strict adherence of the ceasefire agreement signed bilaterally in 2003.
The resolution also condemned the incidents of the interception of Dosti Bus, which runs between Pakistan and India, by the Hindu extremists and the insult of Pakistan and Pakistani people in the Indian media.
The resolution paid tribute to the Jawans of Pakistan army who risk their lives for the defense of the country.
The Indian troops have repeatedly violated the ceasefire at LoC during the last week. On Monday, they resorted to unprovoked firing and mortar shelling in Battal sector in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, martyring a youth and injuring his sister.
The LoC tensions between traditional rivals escalated after New Delhi accused Pakistan Army of killing five Indian troops in occupied Kashmir in an attack on an army post on August 6.
The Pakistan army, however, denied responsibility of the killing of Indian troops.
