Government mulling to release Abbottabad Commission Report

Federal Information Minister Senator Parvez Rasheed has said that the government is mulling to release a copy of Abbottabad Commission Report.

He said that former ministerial committee, led by former law minister Farooq H Naik, had decided against publishing the report publication of report but the government is reconsidering its publication.

The minister said that the government has already launched to probe that ascertain that how a copy of the report was leaked to the media. He dismissed the speculation that the report had gone missing from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s office.

According to partially leaked report, the Abbottabad Commission Report termed the May 2, 2011 operation, which killed former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, as the collective failure of government and military authorities.
